~A bit about me~

My name is Birdy and I am the proprietress if this little part of the world.  I do all the designing and stitching of these fine articles you will find here at Pineapple Pop.

I have been sewing my whole life and I started stitching patchwork clothing for sale a little over ten years ago.  I have been to over 120 music festivals since I was 17, most of which I was involved in vending in one way or another.  

I started my little business officially in Minneapolis in 2003 as Gutter's Goods.  I spent two years exclusively on the road and then another two years both online and on the road during the summers.  I moved to Nashville, TN in 2008 and changed the name of my business to Pineapple Pop and started my Etsy shop.  Between the beginning in 2003 and 2011, I made well over a thousand patchwork dresses, not to mention all the skirts, apron tops, and funky patchwork pants inbetween...

I just recently took about two years away from Pineapple Pop, and honestly I wasn't sure if I'd ever get back to it, but finally I decided to give it a go again.  

So, here I am, creative juices flowing like a waterfall after a monsoon, ready to spend the long hours in front of a sewing machine and a hot iron to bring you all the pretty things I've dreamt of during my break.
